The ENACTING project aims at empowering citizens to express their ideas and concerns on social issues through the production of social documentaries. In order to achieve this, the ENACTING project partners have designed an innovative online course on social documentary development and a virtual platform that provides young people and adults with the necessary knowledge, skills, and space to produce and share their own documentaries to address social issues in Athens, Dresden, Florence, Larissa, and Marseille.
ENACTING main results include:
- A Local Challenges Identification Methodology that comprises a step-by-step guide to participatory action research approaches
- An innovative free Online Course on social documentary development that provides learners with the necessary and up-to-date knowledge, methods, and tools on filmmaking
- The Participatory Media Lab, a collective virtual place for disseminating learners’ social documentaries and fostering dialogue
- The Enacting Digital Festival during which selected social documentaries produced by the learners of the ENACTING Online Course will be screened, and debates by experts such as social documentarists, social anthropologists, activists, sociologists and journalists from France, Germany, Greece, and Italy will take place.
ENACTING is a two-year project co-funded by the European Union under the ERASMUS+ KA227 “Partnerships for Creativity” programme.
